Closing Costs
Both buyers and sellers have closing costs when purchasing and selling a home. Usually, the buyer is faced with more line items expenses due to lending than the seller. As a Seller, your real estate agent will provide you with a “Preliminary Settlement Statement” from usually the Title Company prior to you selling your home. This document spells out all the approximate costs the seller will face when selling their home. Then prior to Closing, the Seller will receive a “Settlement Statement”, which these are your final and complete numbers associated with selling your home.
